US Mint Sales: Lincoln Cents Lift 2026 Mint Set Near Limit

The United States Mint’s 2026 Uncirculated Coin Set opened with a bang, becoming unavailable around the 24-hour mark after its June 30 launch and posting debut sales of 292,204. It was the quickest start for an annual Mint Set since 2009, when the set included Lincoln Bicentennial cents, and its opening total already exceeds the final reported sales for every set since the 2019 edition, which included a premium "W" cent.
The cent connection is notable, as the 2026 set is the only source for 1776 ~ 2026 Lincoln cents from Philadelphia or Denver. Priced at $124.50, each 20-coin set presents them in uncirculated quality alongside the year’s complete Semiquincentennial lineup, pairing P and D examples of the dual-dated nickels, the one-year dime, five quarters and half dollar, plus the 2026 Native American dollar.
