July 22, 2026
The U.S. Mint’s Liberty Bell-shaped Freedom Ringing collectibles appeared in the agency’s sales data for the first time following their July 16 launch. The 1776 ~ 2026 half-ounce silver medal led the trio with 2,021 sold, representing 99.8% of its 2,026-piece mintage limit. Priced at $750, the medal became unavailable within one minute of launch and is commanding exceptional premiums in the secondary market.
Both Freedom Ringing gold coins became unavailable within 30 minutes of release, initially suggesting sellouts and fueling early aftermarket demand. They later returned to sale and have remained available for several days. The $10,050 half-ounce gold coin opened at 1,622 sold, or 80.1% of its limit, while the $19,600 one-ounce gold coin reached 1,428 sold, or 70.5%.
