United States Coins

The United States Mint’s popular Gold American Buffalo bullion coin hits the scene May 7, and this time the long-running coin offers a special twist for 2026: it carries a 1776-2026 dual date and a special privy mark to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States. This semiquincentennial-themed offering contains 1 troy ounce of .9999-fine gold and bears the “W” mintmark of the West Point Mint. The special privy mark is shaped like the silhouette of the Liberty Bell and is superimposed with the numeral 250, symbolizing the nation’s 250th birthday.
