July 10, 2026

United States Coins

The United States Mint released the Best of the Mint 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter Dollar Gold Coin and Silver Medal Set on July 10. It is the latest offering in a series of five sets pairing a classic design on a 24-karat gold coin with a complementary medal containing 1 ounce of .999-fine silver.

The 1916 Standing Liberty quarter contains .25 ounces of .9999-fine gold and features a faithful reproduction of Herman A. MacNeil’s design that graced the United States quarter from 1916 through 1930. As this set is being released in conjunction with the U.S. Mint’s overarching semiquincentennial program, the Standing Liberty quarter also carries a “250” privy mark presenting as the silhouette of the Liberty Bell.
