Rarities from Germany and Vietnam are among dozens of world coins certified by NGC® that are featured in a Japanese auction in early May. Bidding is already underway for the 26th Mint Mint Auction, which concludes on May 10, 2026.

Top NGC-certified lots include a Germany (1742-45) Regensburg Taler graded NGC MS 63 (lot 517) and a Vietnam (1848-83) Annam 5 Tien graded NGC MS 64 (lot 544). Each of these coins has a current bid of ¥2,600,000 (about $17,000). The Taler is a "Top Pop," the higher of the two in the NGC Census, while the Tien is one of 19 examples in the NGC Census, exceeded in grade by only one example.
