From the archives: Edward VII on Canadian coins

Some numismatic memories from my childhood came back to me. I can see myself at my grandfather s house, at the age of four or five, examining a yellow metal box containing what seemed to me like a treasure.
I see the funny five-cent coins of George V, the brown five-cent coins from 1942 and 1943, a large dollar coin with Parliament, a series of coins from 1967 with different animals, coins I recognized. I also remember the five-cent coins issued during the war with the letter V.
