Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) is offering a $5,000 bounty for the first submitted “discovery” of the limited-edition 2026 Declaration of Independence quarter featuring a special July 4 privy mark as part of its 2026 Quarter Quest initiative.

The privy mark quarter, issued by the U.S. Mint in honor of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, has a limited mintage of just 250,000 and will enter circulation through standard channels. “This is a real ‘Golden Ticket’ moment for American numismatics,” says PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. “We’re excited to bring back Quarter Quest and reward collectors who carefully search circulation coins.”
